Nestled along the unspoiled southern coast of Saint Vincent, Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was envisioned as a refined eco-luxury resort where contemporary hospitality meets the natural beauty of the Caribbean landscape. Designed to offer an immersive island experience, the resort combines open architectural spaces, tropical materials, and relaxed luxury throughout its guestrooms and public environments.
Tongda Hospitality was honoured to be selected as the bespoke contract grade furniture and FF&E manufacturing partner for this prestigious development. Our scope covered custom hospitality furniture and millwork solutions across 100 guestrooms and suites, including living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, restaurants, lounges, and multiple public hospitality venues.
From the earliest stages of production planning through to final delivery coordination, the project demanded not only aesthetic refinement, but also deep technical consideration for long-term durability in a tropical coastal environment.
As a flagship eco-luxury resort project under the Sandals brand, the development required far more than visually appealing furniture. Every element needed to support the operational realities of a high-occupancy Caribbean resort while maintaining the relaxed elegance associated with luxury island hospitality.
The overall interior direction embraced natural textures, warm timber finishes, and an understated coastal palette inspired by the surrounding landscape and sea views. One of the most technically demanding aspects of this project was the large-scale use of solid wood furniture throughout the guestrooms and suites.
This marked Tongda Hospitality's first major hospitality project involving extensive full solid wood furniture manufacturing on this scale. Unlike veneer or panel-based hospitality furniture, solid wood construction requires far greater control over material stability, moisture behaviour, and environmental adaptation.
For a Caribbean island environment such as Saint Vincent, humidity management became a critical consideration throughout the manufacturing process.
